Board of County Commissioners Meeting

The St. Johns County Board of County Commission Meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays each month commencing at 9:00 a.m. in the St. Johns County Auditorium located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL. The Board reserves the right to cancel and or change the meeting schedule as needed. Most Public Hearings for the County Commission will be advertised for 9:00 a.m. It will be left to the discretion of the BCC Chair as to the most appropriate time to break for recess. *Per Board Rule 4.102: The Board shall not hold a regular meeting on the first Tuesday of January or the first Tuesday of July. This is regarding a Request for a Special Use Permit pursuant to Section 2.03.26 of the Land Development

Code to allow for the construction of a 170-foot monopole tower and support facility within the St. Augustine Shores Planned Unit Development (PUD), on a parcel located on Shores Boulevard, more specifically located on St. Johns County Parcel ID 284195-0006.  Interested parties may appear at the neighborhood workshop and be heard with respect to the proposed request.

The application files for this request TOWER 2024-04 – Shores Telecommunication Tower (SE US-1) are maintained in the Planning and Zoning Section of the Growth Management Department at the County Permit Center, 4040 Lewis Speedway, St. Augustine, Florida, and may be examined by interested parties prior to the community meeting. This Community Meeting is being held to allow the public an opportunity to learn about and participate in the planning for the following projects located in St. Johns County. The general public is encouraged to attend regarding the request to rezone approximately 16.74 acres of land from Open Rural (OR) to Workforce Housing (WH); specifically located at 5025 US Highway 1 S, 111 Watson Road, and 121 Watson Road.
