In observance of the New Year’s holiday, all departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners, St. Johns County administrative offices, the Supervisor of Elections Office, and the Property Appraiser’s Office will be closed Friday, Dec. 22, through Tuesday, Dec. 26. All of these government offices will resume standard hours on Wednesday, Dec. 27.
All St. Johns County library branches will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 22 and remain closed through Dec. 26. All libraries will resume standard business hours on Dec. 27.
The Clerk of Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s Office and the Tax Collector’s Office will be closed on Dec. 25 and Dec. 26. These government offices will resume standard hours on Wednesday, Dec. 27.
Garbage and recycling will not be collected on Dec. 25. Collections will resume on Dec. 26, through Saturday, Dec. 30, and be delayed by one day. The Tillman Ridge and Stratton Road transfer stations will be closed on Dec. 25 and will resume standard business hours on Dec. 26.

Additionally, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting that typically takes place on the first Tuesday of the month will not be scheduled for Jan. 2, 2024. The only January 2024 BOCC meeting will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024.
