Temporary Road Closure – Parts of County Road 214 and Allen Nease Road

St. Johns County will temporarily close County Road 214 and Allen Nease Road from Wednesday evening, starting at 7:30 p.m., June 26, to Thursday, June 27 at 6 a.m., to install a new reclaimed water main across both roads. The County will utilize two separate construction crews to minimize the impact on the traveling public. Construction will require a complete closure of CR 214 between the water plant near Ryan Road and Allen Nease Road, about three-quarters of a mile south of CR 214. Detours will be established with necessary signage to provide advanced warnings and directions for roadway users.

Communications with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, St. Johns County Fire Rescue, and St. Johns County Public Works took place prior to the closure to ensure coordinated County operations.

These pipeline crossings are part of the State Road 207 Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) and Pipeline Project, which will provide reclaimed water from the new WRF to all service areas, including the State Road 16 and Northwest regions.

J. B. Coxwell is the contractor, and the full improvement project is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2025.
