St. Johns County Presents Update on Comprehensive Plan

County has two public open house events planned for July 23

St. Johns County provided a presentation on the 2050 Vision – Comprehensive Plan Update efforts at the July 16 St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners meeting. The County announced the public is invited to participate in two open house events on July 23 for the County’s Comprehensive Plan Update as it crafts strategies to implement the community’s vision.

On July 23, two sessions will be held (10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) at the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine. To enhance ADA transparency and consistency, St. Johns County established a dedicated email address for all ADA accommodation requests at public events – ADA@sjcfl.us.

The Office of Public Affairs created a video to further highlight this public engagement opportunity.

“The Comprehensive Plan is a document that has all of our policy in it, so it’s a broad document, and it addresses a lot of things, but at its core, it addresses development,” said Michael Roberson, St. Johns County Growth Management Director. “The current Comprehensive Plan currently goes to 2025, so, in short, it needs to be updated. The updated version will be referred to as Planning Horizon 2050.”
