St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department Launches New App

Starting today, the St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department is launching a brand-new app, giving residents an intuitive platform for community engagement, education, and exploration.

The SJC Parks and Rec app allows users to find parks and beaches (and even individual amenities like skate parks, dog parks, boat ramps, etc.) using intuitive interactive maps, register quickly and easily for programs and events, and listen to region-specific audio tours about County history.

These location-based audio tours can be downloaded by users ahead of visits to different parts of the County, allowing them to listen to the stories of our past and present while enjoying our parks and beaches well into the future.

“There’s so much history in St. Johns County, and on park properties, that we thought this would be the best way to let people experience it conveniently,” Parks and Recreation Director Ryan Kane said.

“We love that the app gives our residents an easy way to sign up for our park programs as well as learn more about the parks themselves, not to mention our beaches, boat ramps, and everything in between,” Community Program Manager Tess Simpson said.

The SJC Parks and Rec app is available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
