St. Johns County Hosting Homeowner Outreach Meetings for Residents Seeking Home Elevation Grants

St. Johns County, in coordination with its consultant, Quality Engineering and Surveying (QES), will offer homeowner outreach meetings for residents interested in participating in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) 2023 Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) funding application submittal.

There will be a brief presentation with time for questions and one-on-one discussions with the consultant.

St. Johns County Homeowner Outreach Meeting No. 1

  • When: Monday, July 31, 2 p.m.
  • Where: Ponte Vedra Civic Association, 2724 South Ponte Vedra Blvd., Ponte Vedra Beach

St. Johns County Homeowner Outreach Meeting No. 2

  • When: Tuesday, Aug. 1, 3 p.m.
  • Where: Southeast Library Branch, 6670 U.S. 1 S., St. Augustine

St. Johns County Homeowner Outreach Meeting No. 3

  • When: Tuesday, Aug. 1, 6 p.m.
  • Where: Wind Mitigation Building, 3111 Agriculture Drive, St. Augustine

Additionally, the City of St. Augustine will host two homeowner outreach meetings, which St. Johns County residents are welcome to attend.

  • When: Wednesday, Aug. 2, 3 p.m.
  • Where: The Alcazar Room, St. Augustine City Hall, 75 King St., St. Augustine

St. Augustine Homeowner Outreach Meeting No. 2

  • When: Wednesday, Aug. 2, 6 p.m.
  • Where: The Alcazar Room, St. Augustine City Hall, 75 King St., St. Augustine

The FMA program is a nationally competitive annual FEMA grant program. Each year there is an allocation of federal funding that can be applied for and reviewed by FEMA. Prioritization is given to those structures listed as Severe Repetitive Loss and Repetitive Loss.
