2025 New Year’s Trash Bash – Beach Cleanup!
St. Johns County is teaming up with St. Johns River State College for their Vikings Day of Service. This event will be in partnership with multiple county departments and local organizations as part of the Get Hooked Anti-Litter Initiative.
Make a resolution to keep our county beautiful! Help remove litter & debris from our beaches and start the new year off right!
Volunteers can select from among 8 locations to check in and clean the beach!
When:
- Friday, January 24, 2025, from 1pm-4pm
Where:
- Mickler’s Landing: CR 203, Ponte Vedra Beach
- GTMNERR South Beach: 2200 South Ponte Vedra Blvd, Ponte Vedra Beach
- Surfside Park: 3070 Coastal Hwy, St. Augustine 32084
- Vilano Beach: Vilano Rd., St. Augustine
- Anastasia State Park
- The Pier at St. Augustine Beach
- Crescent Beach: Cubbedge Rd., St. Augustine
- Fort Matanzas Beach: Fort Matanzas Beach Ramp Rd., St. Augustine
Skills/abilities required of volunteers: Walking in soft sand, standing, bending over, carrying less than 50lbs, and being outside in the elements. Cleanup supplies will be provided. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, closed-toe shoes, and reusable water bottle. Children must be supervised by an adult or guardian at all times.
Volunteers must sign-in at the location on the day of the event and sign the county’s Hold Harmless agreement – copies will be provided at the event or you can review and print the agreement below.
A table will be set up at each location for volunteers to sign-in and get supplies. Signs will be posted directing volunteers to the location.
Online registration closes 12 hours before the event. Online registration is optional but if the event is cancelled due to weather, we will email those who registered online.
