St. Johns County Bans Smoking and Vaping at Parks and Beaches Under Amended Ordinances

2026 Pre-Season Beach Driving Passes on Sale

Pre-season annual beach driving passes go on sale Monday, December 1. St. Johns County resident passes are $50, non-resident passes are $100, and ADA-accessible passes are $40.

Second Family Color Run 5K Doubles Previous Year’s Attendance

On Nov. 15, 2025, the St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department held its second Family Color Run 5K, which saw an impressive increase in participation compared to the inaugural run in 2024

SJC Parks & Recreation Recognized as a Certified Autism Center

In April 2024, St. Johns County Parks & Recreation achieved the designation of Certified Autism Center through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).

This distinction comes after a comprehensive program of staff training, heightened awareness efforts, and an on-site review of county parks and facilities.
