June 19, 2024 – St. Johns County Holds Juneteenth Ribbon-cutting Ceremony for Relocated Canright House: A Civil Rights Landmark

St. Johns County commemorated the Juneteenth holiday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Collier-Blocker-Puryear Park (10 N. Holmes Blvd., St. Augustine) for the relocated Canright House: A Civil Rights Landmark.

June 18, 2024 – St. Johns County Proclaims July 2024 as Parks and Recreation Month

At the regular St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, June 18, District 1 Commissioner Christian Whitehurst issued a proclamation recognizing July 2024 as Parks and Recreation Month.

June 18, 2024 – St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department Inducts John Bert Watson into Hall of Fame

At the regular St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, June 18, the Parks and Recreation Department inducted the late John Bert Watson into its Hall of Fame for his years of dedicated service to his community and tireless advocacy for the county’s youth.
