Commissioner Clay Murphy is appointed to the Northeast Florida Regional Council Board of Directors

During the Dec. 17, 2024, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Regular Meeting, a motion was passed to appoint Commissioner Krista Joseph and Commissioner Clay Murphy to the Northeast Florida Regional Council Board of Directors.

There were two vacancies on the Northeast Florida Regional Council Board of Directors designated as St. Johns County appointees due to the reassignment of the Board of County Commissioners. The Northeast Florida Regional Council requested St. Johns County appoint two of their members to fill the current vacant seat.

The Northeast Florida Regional Council (NEFRC) has been making a positive impact since 1977. Our council spans Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Putnam, Nassau, and St. Johns counties, as well as 25 vibrant municipalities. They believe in championing the diverse strengths of the region by actively involving the people, businesses, governments, and organizations across Northeast Florida. At NEFRC, they offer a range of essential services, including access to state and federal programs benefiting all counties, technical assistance through paid service agreements, and project-specific support via grant application and implementation. Their core pillars revolve around Economic Development, Emergency Preparedness, Outreach, Policy and Planning, and Resiliency.
