St. Johns County Legislative Delegation

St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Auditorium

The Saint Johns County Legislative Delegation will hold a public hearing on Friday, January 10th, 2025 at 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The meeting will be held in the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Auditorium at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, Florida 32084.

The Legislative Delegation includes Senator Tom Leek, Representative Kim Kendall, Representative Sam Greco, and Representative Judson Sapp. The Delegation Hearing is intended to afford local residents and officials an opportunity to request legislation or state funding, as well as to express opinions on any other matter of state concern, in advance of the 2025 Regular Legislative Session. This hearing is open to the public.

Members of the public wishing to be placed on the printed agenda can do so by completing the speaker card form, and forwarding it to Jane.Blair@myfloridahouse.gov by noon, January 5, 2025. Any handouts, visual aids, or PowerPoint slides to be included in the Delegation packet, must be submitted in advance. Day of requests to address the delegation must be filed to Tatum Wang by 10:00 AM, Friday, January 10th, 2025. When there are no speakers on the speakers list the delegation members will end the meeting, even if it is prior to 3:00 PM. The primary purpose of the IDA is to issue tax-exempt bond financing for manufacturing facilities within the county. The IDA can also issue bonds for certain exempt facilities such as water & sewer projects, solid waste and hazardous waste facilities as well as bonds for tax-exempt 501 (C)(3) non-profit organizations.

NW SECTOR COMMUNITY PLANNING MEETING

This community meeting is being held to allow the public an opportunity to learn about and participate in the planning for the Enclave at WGV Workforce Housing development. The subject property is ±18.5 acres located on the east side of Pacetti Road, between Samara Lakes Parkway and Terracina Drive.

The owner has filed application REZ 2024-18, a rezoning request from a Planned Unit Development (PUD) consisting of 21 market rate, single-family homes to Workforce Housing (WH) zoning, which would permit up to 64 townhomes, 30% of which are affordable to low- and moderate-income households (local workforce). The owner is proposing 52 townhomes, 16 of which are deed restricted to be workforce housing units.

The St. Johns County Board of County Commission Meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays each month commencing at 9:00 a.m. in the St. Johns County Auditorium located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL. The Board reserves the right to cancel and or change the meeting schedule as needed. Most Public Hearings for the County Commission will be advertised for 9:00 a.m. It will be left to the discretion of the BCC Chair as to the most appropriate time to break for recess. *Per Board Rule 4.102: The Board shall not hold a regular meeting on the first Tuesday of January or the first Tuesday of July.
