Summary of Amendments to the Ponte Vedra Zoning District Regulations – Final approval received on August 18, 2020, by the Board of County Commissioners enacting Ordinance No 2020-38. The revisions include new definitions, revised residential front yard setback measurement for a portion of Ponte Vedra Blvd., clarified the use of plastic trash bags, clarified the time that refuse, recycling and yard waste containers be placed on the street prior to pick-up, and addition of tree protections, mitigation, fees and fines. Planning & Zoning
The Planning & Zoning Section reviews all land use applications, including Comprehensive Plan Amendments, Re-zoning, Variances, Special Use Permits and Planned Unit Development for consistency with the Land Development Code and the Comprehensive Plan. Planning & Zoning Agency
The Planning and Zoning Agency meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the County auditorium at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. The Planning and Zoning Agency is comprised of seven members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The Ponte Vedra Zoning and Adjustment Board meets on the first Monday of each month at 3:00 p.m. in the County auditorium at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. The Ponte Vedra Zoning and Adjustment Board is comprised of seven members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Members serve a four-year term.

Home Owner Associations with Architectural Review Authority
The Land Development Code requires homeowner associations with architectural review authority to register with the County. Requirements and procedures are in Sec. 5.03.02.H , page V-14. Temporary Use Permits
These permits are generally for uses that are time sensitive, such as special events or seasonal sales. Temporary uses are exempt from paving and drainage permit requirements, and may use special event signage. This includes seasonal sales, carnivals, fairs, and farmers markets.
