Commissioner Murphy Hosts Summer Haven Public Meeting

The meeting addressed beach erosion in the area.

Clay Murphy, District 3, Vice-Chair, hosted a “Listen & Learn” meeting on April 3, 2025, for the community to discuss the Summer Haven/Matanzas Inlet. It was held at St. Anastasia Catholic Church and was moderated by WSOS’s Kevin Geddings and included a presentation by the St. Johns County Coastal Management staff.

The meeting offered an opportunity for the public to learn more about the beach erosion, washovers, and breaches.
