The station’s 4 Your Neighborhood series was hosted at Veterans Park
On April 4, 2025, St. Johns County hosted the News4Jax newscasts at Veterans Park as a part of their “4 Your Neighborhood” series. The station invited Chair Krista Joseph, District 4, and Commissioner Christian Whitehurst, District 1, to appear on the afternoon newscast to discuss regional parks plans, infrastructure projects, and more. The Office of Public Affairs produced a video to recap the event.
News4JAX is getting away from the bright lights of the studio. Each month, they will broadcast newscasts from neighborhoods all around Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. They want to spotlight each community and show what makes it unique.
The third neighborhood featured in their 4 Your Neighborhood series was north St. Johns County, specifically the 32259 ZIP code. In addition to featuring the St. Johns County news and projects, the station covered local businesses and community initiatives.
