St. Johns Golf Club Staff Recognized with Multiple Awards
St. Johns Golf Club Director Wes Tucker and Assistant Golf Professional Bea Mauricio have both been honored by the PGA of America North Florida Section and Northern Chapter with awards. The Office of Public Affairs produced a video to highlight this recognition.
Wes Tucker received the Bill Strausbaugh Award which is presented to a PGA Professional who by their day-to-day efforts have distinguished themselves by mentoring their fellow PGA Professionals in improving their employment situations and through service to the community.
Bea Mauricio received the PGA Assistant Golf Professional of the Year Award which is determined annually to honor the working PGA Assistant Golf Professional whose total contributions to the game best exemplify the complete PGA Assistant Professional.
“I think as a golf professional, as someone who works for St. Johns County, you know that’s what you do you serve people,” said Tucker when asked about the honor of being recognized.
They will be presented their awards from the North Florida Chapter in January at the annual awards meeting and by the Section in June.
