Commissioner Arnold Announces County’s Participation in News Video Nominated for a Suncoast Emmy

Commissioner Sarah Arnold announced at the Oct. 15, 2024, St. Johns County Board of County Commission Meeting, that the WJXT Channel 4 News4Jax news feature on the County’s efforts to address presumptive disability benefits and its efforts to protect St. Johns County Fire Rescue firefighters better was nominated for a 2024 National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Suncoast Chapter Emmy Award. The feature “After The Smoke Clears” profiled how two St. Johns County leaders are pushing for significant changes at the state level to better protect firefighters who experience “line of duty” injuries or sicknesses. It included Commissioner Arnold and the St. Johns County Fire Rescue leadership. The 2024 Suncoast Emmy® Awards will be held on December 7, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida.
