Overview

The St. Johns County Office of Public Affairs is dedicated to providing the most local, accurate, and timely information, valuing government transparency and convenience through various digital and traditional channels. Services include supporting all departments, media relations, education, crisis communications, and event coordination.

The Office of Public Affairs plays a crucial role in running the Board of County Commissioners Meetings, as well as the organization and dissemination of official public information for St. Johns County.

This includes a wide range of responsibilities, such as:

  • Crafting news releases
  • Developing public service videos
  • Survey creation and dissemination
  • Managing social media platforms
  • Curating website content
  • Producing Government Television
  • Coordinating crisis communication
  • Arranging ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and other events
  • Handling media relations

The Office of Public Affairs serves as the primary point of contact for media inquiries related to County government news and activities, staff interviews, and County Commissioners.
