St. Johns County Welcomes Open World Armenian Delegation

At the March 19, 2024, St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners Regular Meeting, Sarah Arnold, Chair, District 2, welcomed the Open World Armenian Delegation by issuing a Certificate of Recognition. Jennifer Logue, President of the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach, received the proclamation and is hosting the visit.

The arrival of an esteemed delegation of Armenian women on the First Coast this week signifies a significant milestone in promoting mutual understanding and collaboration in the realm of women’s leadership. During their visit, the delegation is engaging in meaningful discussions and exchanges with local female leaders across government, business, and non-profit sectors, enriching perspectives and fostering constructive dialogue.

Facilitated by the Congressional Office for International Leadership’s esteemed Open World Program, this five-member delegation, along with a facilitator and interpreter, are immersing themselves in the Jacksonville area from March 15 to March 23, 2024. Throughout their stay, the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach plays a pivotal role in hosting and facilitating their engagement with the local community.

With its extensive reach and impact, the Open World Program has provided opportunities for over 30,000 current and emerging leaders from post-Soviet-era countries. Through its international exchange programs, the initiative aims to cultivate mutually beneficial avenues for engagement among future national leaders.
