Public Works Road and Bridge Division Competes in APWA Northeast Florida Road-eo

The St. Johns County Public Works Road and Bridge division competed this week in the annual APWA Northeast Florida Road-eo. This event tests the skills of equipment operators with six different competitions. SJC Road and Bridge had 10 operators who competed in this event.

“This is a great opportunity for our Road and Bridge employees to network with other counties, test their skills on different equipment and learn from others in their industry,” Public Works Director Greg Caldwell said.

After multiple hours of competing against several other counties and cities, Freddie Badger placed third overall, and Andrew Dupont came in second. Both will advance to the state competition held in Daytona Beach on April 3.
