Housing Finance Authority
Established
March 6, 1980, by Ordinance 80-7 and governed by the Florida Housing Finance Authority Law
and Resolution 80-25, this Authority is composed of seven members. Not less than a majority of the members shall be knowledgeable in one of the following fields: labor, finance and commerce. Members serve a four-year term.
Mission
The Housing Finance Authority of St. Johns County (the "HFA'') is a public body created pursuant to the "Florida Housing Finance Authority Law," Chapter 159, Part IV, Florida Statutes, as amended. The HFA was established for the purpose of alleviating a shortage of affordable housing facilities and to provide capital for investment in such facilities for low, moderate, and middle income families in St. Johns County.
Areas of Service
St Johns County HFA services all areas of St Johns County including, but not limited to: St Augustine, St Augustine Beach, Marineland, Ponte Vedra, and all unincorporated areas of the county. County Map

HFA Board and Support

Revenue and Financial Information
St. Johns County HFA has no taxing authority. Fiscal year is October 1 – September 30.
